For the second consecutive season the University of Wyoming volleyball team has been picked to finish second in the Mountain West. The conference released its preseason coaches' poll on Wednesday, with Colorado State tabbed the favorite for the sixth consecutive year.
The Cowgirls finished third in the conference last season and advanced to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship tournament for the second consecutive season. Starters Hailie McArdle, Tara Traphagan and Jackie McBride and libero Madi Fields return this year for Wyoming.
The Cowgirls received 79 points in the voting while Colorado State garnered 100 points, including 10 first-place votes.
