The Wyoming volleyball team survived a five-set marathon Thursday to win 3-2 (25-13, 20-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-13) at Utah State.
It was the fifth time in seven Mountain West matches the Cowgirls (11-7, 6-1 MW) went to five sets. They are now 4-1 in five-set matches.
KC McMahon had a career-high 18 kills to lead the UW offensive attack, with Halie McArdle adding 15, Jackie McBride and Faith Waltsman nine apiece and Tara Traphagan eight.
Setter Mackenzie Coates had 53 assists and four of the Cowgirls' season-high 10 aces while Madi Fields (21) and Erika Jones (14) combined for 35 digs.
