The University of Wyoming track and field teams traveled to Fort Collins, Colorado, on Sunday for the Doug Max Invitational and returned home with 12 first-place finishes and 11 runners-up medals.
William Nolan (Cheyenne South) was the only two-event winner for UW as he won the long jump with a leap of 23 feet, 0.25 inches and the triple jump with a mark of 48-00.5. The jumps accounted for five of UW's gold medals as Pete Mead (Cheyenne East) won the high jump, Jerayah Davis (Kelly Walsh) won the long jump and Ja'la Henderson took the top spot in the triple jump.
