Five wins in singles action highlighted the day for the Wyoming tennis team at the Air Force Invitational on Saturday in Colorado Springs.
“We played another day and continue to get better,” head coach Dean Clower said. “During singles play the upperclassmen really played with a lot of passion and showed how we compete the Cowgirl way. We still have a lot to work on but today was a step in the right direction.”
The Cowgirls battled back in singles play by taking five of seven matches on Saturday. UW was led by Magdalena Stencel with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Nini Guenslet followed by Nastya Tokareva over Sabrina Demerath, 7-6, 6-2.
