Wyoming women's soccer remained undefeated on the season with a 2-1 win over Kansas at home on Friday afternoon.
Kimmy Burbank scored two goals -- a header in the eighth minute and another header in the 57th minute -- to put the Cowgirls up 2-0 and Wyoming held on in the second half after Kansas scored in the 64th minute
“It’s great to get a win against a great program like Kansas,” Cowgirl head coach Pete Cuadrado said. “Anytime we get an opponent at home, we have a chance against anybody.”
Goalkeepers Georgia Rowntree and Cassidy Entsminger shared time in the net with Rowntree playing the first stanza and Entsminger playing the second.
