Defender Alisha Bass and forward Shaina Ashouri each scored a goal to help Wyoming rally for a 2-1 win over UNLV on Friday night at in Las Vegas.
Bass scored her second goal of the season in the 48th minute off an assist from junior forward Laurel Ramer. Ashouri followed suit in the 68th minute, receiving a cross from freshman defender Taylor Burton to score the game-winning goal. It was Ashouri’s eighth goal of the season.
“I thought we had a slow start to the game,” head coach Pete Cuadrado said. “The team managed some half-time adjustments very well and picked up the tempo in the second half.
