Sophomore Savannah Warner scored on a penalty kick in the 90th minute Sunday to give the University of Wyoming soccer team a 1-all tie with the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana.
The teams played evenly throughout the match until the Grizzlies (0-3-3) scored at the 49-minute mark for a 1-0 advantage. That's where the score remained until the final minute of regulation when Warner leveled the game on the PK.
“It was a hard-fought match from our team,” UW head coach Pete Cuadrado said in a statement. “I was proud of the grit with the level of physicality Montana presented.
