Wyoming soccer falls to New Mexico in OT at Mountain West Championship

The University of Wyoming soccer team had their season come to an end Thursday with a 2-1 overtime loss to New Mexico in the semifinals of the Mountain West Championship in San Jose, California.

The Lobos took a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute on a goal by Jill Olguin. The Cowgirls (12-4-4) got the equalizer in the 78th minute when Michaela Stark found the back of the net off an assist from her sister, Brittney Stark.

The Lobos (13-5-2) got the game-winner in double overtime when Wyoming was unable to clear the ball in front of the net and Alesia Garcia took advantage.
