Sophomore Kirby Coe-Kirkham is tied for second place after two rounds of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
The Sheridan native had a 1-over 72 and is at 5-under 137, one stroke back of Northern Colorado's Jack Castiglia, heading into Sunday's final round.
As a team, the Cowboys enter the final round three strokes back of host Denver University and one back of North Dakota State.
Individually for UW, Tyler Severin is at 1-under 141, followed by Carl Underwood at 1-over 143 and Dan Starzinski and Bryce Waters, who are both at 4-over 146.
