The Wyoming men's golf team got off to a solid start at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Denver on Friday.
With sophomore Kirby Coe-Kirkham (Sheridan) leading the way, the Cowboys are tied with host Denver University atop the nine-team field. The Cowboys and Pioneers both carded 8-under 276 to open the three-day tournament.
Coe-Kirkham shot a career-low 6-under 65 to lead the field by three strokes after 18 holes. Also for the Cowboys, Tyler Severin and Bryce Waters were tied for 10th (70), followed by Carl Underwood (71) and Dan Starzinski (73).
