Led by senior John Murdock, the University of Wyoming men's golf team finished the Paintbrush Invitational in style Tuesday in Parker, Colorado.
Murdock, from Laramie, fired a 2-under 70 to give him a three-round total of 3-over 219 and a tie for 12th place.
The Cowboys finished sixth in the 12-team tournament thanks to an even par 288 that tied runner-up Oregon for the low team score on Tuesday. UW had a 27-over 891 to finish 21 strokes back of team champ Colorado State.
Also for the Cowboys, freshman Kirby Coe-Kirkham (Sheridan) was at 7-over 223, followed by junior Dan Starzinski (224), and freshmen Tyler Severin (229) and Jimmy Dales (234).
