LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Josh Adams scored 22 points and Wyoming held on for a 62-59 win over New Mexico State on Sunday night.
Jason McManamen added 15 points and Justin James had 13 for Wyoming (6-4), which shot 45 percent from the floor and 7 of 16 from long range.
New Mexico State (5-4) battled back from a 14-point deficit in the second half. Johnathon Wilkins' bucket closed the gap to 56-55 with 1:11 remaining but the Aggies couldn't overtake. Adams got a layup at the other end to extend the lead back to three and Wyoming hung on down the stretch to get its first win on New Mexico State's home court.
