Due to COVID-19, Wyoming football has been cancelled. Without football, University of Wyoming football players are forced to attend school without it.
“I was speechless, I didn’t know what to think. I knew it could be a possibility but once it happened, I was shocked,” said Junior linebacker Keyon Blankenbaker about the decision to suspend the 2020-21 football season until the Spring.
The announcement was made August 10, and left players and fans reeling. Blankenburger was joined by other notable Cowboy football players Alex Brown and Sean Chambers in voicing their opinions.
“Did all that work since January 1st for this fall, and not being able to show the strides we made as a team hurts,” tweeted Brown, a redshirt freshman receiver.
