LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Josh Adams scored 26 points and Wyoming defeated New Mexico Highlands 83-67 on Thursday night.
Adams scored 13 points and Justin James and Trey Washington III 10 apiece in the first half when Wyoming (2-1) led by as many 25 points. The Cowboys were up 50-30 at the break on 17-of-31 shooting (54.8 percent), including making 9 of 17 3-point attempts. Washington finished with 14 points and James 12 with Wyoming shooting 50.8 percent overall.
Jonathon Mines scored 23 points to lead New Mexico Highlands (1-2), a Division II team.
