The Wyoming men’s and women’s cross country team both finished strong in the NCAA Mountain Region Championships in Provo, Utah on Friday, Nov. 9.
The Cowboys finished in 6th place out of 17 teams while the Cowgirls finished 12th out of 20 teams. Both placings were an improvement from a year ago and for the Cowboys it was the best regional finish in school history.
The Cowboys would score 149 points on the 10-kilometer course. With their strong showing in the race, Wyoming was announced as one of the 31 teams to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships on in Madison Wisconsin on Nov.
