The University of Wyoming women's golf team opens the season Monday when it takes part in the 14-team Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix.
The Cowgirls are coming off a fall campaign in which they averaged 306.8 strokes per tournament, their lowest team average since 2008.
Seniors Kathleen Kershisnik and Emily Woodard (Cheyenne Central), juniors Taylor Dorans and Mackenzie Barrie, sophomores Gabrielle Gibson and Klara Castillo and freshmen Megan Knadler, Kaylee Knadler and Amanda Hinchey (Kelly Walsh) will all be competing for spots on the UW roster this spring.
