The Wyoming Cowboys cross-country team will run together at the NCAA National Championships for the first time since 1986.
Following a successful regular season, a fourth-place finish at the Mountain West Championships and a sixth-place finish at the Mountain Regional Championship, the Cowboys received an at-large bid for the national race, the NCAA announced on Saturday. That made Wyoming one of just 31 teams to qualify.
"This is a fantastic day for our cross-country program," Wyoming head coach Bryan Berryhill said in a release. "Words can't explain how proud i am of our student-athletes and the work they have put in to achieve this.
