Seniors Jordan Charles and Scott Carter led a select group of Wyoming track & field athletes at the Tom Benich Invitational on April 2 in Greeley, Colorado.
Carter continued his hot streak as he picked up another win in the men’s triple jump, posting a jump of 52 feet, 1 inch, which was a new personal record. The leap moved him from number six to number three in UW’s all-time record book.
“Scott (Carter)’s performance has been a long time coming,” Wyoming jumping coach Quincy Howe said. “He has been consistently good over the past two seasons, and the 52-foot barrier is a great landmark on the road to bigger and better things.
