LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Trelun Banks scored 21 points with 7-for-14 shooting to lead Southern to a 68-58 win over Wyoming on Thursday night.
Adrian Rodgers added 14 points plus eight rebounds and Tony Nunn had 10 points for Southern (6-2), which controlled the glass 45-25 and never trailed.
Banks hit back-to-back 3-pointers midway through the first half to give Southern its first double-digit lead of the game, 20-8. Wyoming (5-4) battled back, closing the gap to 27-26 with a 3-pointer from Josh Adams at the end of the half.
