The Cowboys traveled to Provo, UT, Saturday, Sept. 24, to take on the BYU Cougars.
The Cougars were ranked number 19 in the NCAA currently the one and only ranked team the Cowboys will play this season.
With a slow start from BYU, the Pokes got ahead with an early field goal thanks to kicker John Hoyland, continuing his title as scoringest kicker in NCAA football. They were up 3-0 early on the Cougar team that was predicted to take care of the Cowboys very easily.
The Cougars cashed in on a rushing touchdown shortly after this, but the Cowboy offense wanted a taste of the endzone as well.
