No doubt, Wyoming wrestling would change the way its 2017-18 season ended if it could. Top-ranked senior Bryce Meredith fell just seconds short of hanging on to a national championship at 141 pounds.
Still, after a long season of accomplishments, the Cowboys can boast one more achievement they had never reached under head coach Mark Branch. Wyoming finished tied for 17th place as a team, its best finish yet under the 10th-year head coach. The team's previous best finish under Branch was 18th in 2016.
The Cowboys tied with Minnesota and Wisconsin with 27.5 points, good for third in the Big 12.
