Wyoming junior midfielder Mandy Meyer headed home the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute to push the Cowgirls past Boise State 1-0 on Friday afternoon at home in Laramie.
Wyoming's eighth shutout of the season sets a new all-time season record. The Cowgirls move to 8-5-4 overall and 4-4-1 in the Mountain West.
“I thought the team did a fantastic job of following the game plan,” Cowgirl soccer head coach Pete Cuadrado said. “It’s a great thing to have the most shutouts in school history, especially with having the youngest back line we have ever had.”
Meyer’s goal came off a rebounded save from Boise State’s goalkeeper Janelle Flores.
