Led by senior John Murdock, the University of Wyoming golf team finished fourth at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invite on Tuesday in Erie, Colorado.
Murdock, from Laramie, carded an 8-under 64 for the low score of the tournament to finish in a tie for sixth place with a 54-hole total of 2-under 214.
The Cowboys' 13-under 275 on Tuesday was also the low team score of the tournament. That helped Wyoming move up three spots as it finished with a 4-over 868. Host Colorado won the tournament with a 14-under 850.
Also for UW, junior Dan Starzinski tied for 10th with a 216, freshman Kirby Coe-Kirkham (Sheridan) tied for 14th with a 217, sophomore Carl Underwood carded a 226 and freshman Tyler Severin shot a 230.
