On Saturday the Cowgirls played Colorado State University Rams for the second time this season, beating them with a final score of 56-32.
The game started out slow with both teams keeping up the defense and going back and forth with no shots landing. It wasn’t until three minutes into the first quarter that Cowgirl Clara Tapia scored for 2 points.
With 4:33 left in the first quarter the Cowgirls finally scored to get the score to 6-0. The Cowgirls would get the score up to 8-0 with two free throws made by Bailee Cotton. With 3:34 left in the quarter the Rams got on the board with two free throws.
