Forward Natalie Baker scored a season high 18 points as the Cowgirls defeated Colorado State 56-49 on Feb. 28 in the Arena-Auditorium. The win was UW’s first Border War victory since Feb. 22, 2014, and it also marked UW’s 20th win of the season.
Baker shot 5-9 from the field and 7-9 from the free throw line, in addition to pulling down four rebounds. Forward Bailee Cotton and Guard Clara Tapia both added 10 points; with Cotton grabbing a career-high nine rebounds.
“The game tonight had so many ebbs and flows to it,” head coach Joe Legerski said.
