As reigning Mountain West Conference champions, the Cowgirls started the season with a win as they beat out the Colorado Christian University Cougars 106-47 in their season opener exhibition game on Friday night.
The Cowgirls and the Cougars have faced off twice previously, the last time being Wyoming’s 2019-20 season opener, which the Cowgirls won 70-31.
In the series, Wyoming has averaged 66 points per game, while holding CCU to just 32 points each in the two contests the schools have had thus far.
Overall, the Cowgirls were able to score at least 25 points per quarter.
