Wyoming Cowboys basketball earned their second victory of the young season with a 81-66 home win over the Tennessee State Tigers on Sunday afternoon, boosted by a strong first half defensive showing, along with another Obi Agbim led offensive campaign.
In the first half, the visiting Tigers struggled from the field, and ended the first period going only 8/27 in shooting, while not cashing a single 3 pointer in 7 attempts. Agbim put up 12 points in the first 20 minutes, and was a solid 5/7 shooting, taking the Cowboys into the half with a 43-28 lead.
After the break, things looked to be trending in the same direction for the first few minutes, but the Tigers showed their teeth, going on a 15-2 run over the span of about 7 minutes.
