Kerry Weiland will become the first member of any Wisconsin women's hockey team to be inducted into the Wisconsin Athletics Hall of Fame when they add the class of 2015 in early September.
A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Weiland was a member of the first women's hockey team to take the ice for Wisconsin. She is still second among defensemen on Wisconsin's all-time points list with 124 ans sixth overall.
The Badgers' first women's hockey All-American, Weiland was a second-team pick in 2001 and a first team pick in 2002.
