Wisconsin’s season ends with NCAA Tournament loss to Oklahoma

Oklahoma’s pitching and excellent defense stymied Wisconsin in a 2-0 loss and ended the Badgers post-season journey that included a thrilling walk-off win and a historic upset.

Kaitlyn Menz, fresh off of a 112-pitch effort in Wisconsin’s win over the Sooners, held Oklahoma to only two runs in seven innings. Overall, she threw 14 innings Sunday on 195 pitches and held one of the best offenses in the country to only three total runs.

Wisconsin had a few opportunities in the game, but none came to fruition.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Taylor Johnson worked a lead-off walk.
