Wisconsin sophomore Ollie Hoare took first place in the Big Ten Cross Country Championships on Sunday, posting a 24:09.3 finish. He is the 25th Badger to win a Big Ten cross country individual title.
The Sydney, Australia, native has had a strong season for the Badgers, including leading the team with an eighth-place finish at the Greater Louisville Classic in September.
Senior Joe Hardy finished second, four seconds behind Hoare with a time of 24:13.2 and just three-tenths of a second ahead of third-place finisher Clark Ruiz of Michigan State.
Wisconsin finished third in the meet behind Michigan and Michigan State.
