Only Wisconsin can take 94 shots in a weekend.
The top-ranked Wisconsin women’s hockey team is on a roll. In a weekend that saw great turmoil across the top 10, the Badgers (17–1–0) scored 15 goals in their sweep of Syracuse (4–12–1). The Orange couldn’t match the offensive onslaught, only squeezing out one goal in each game.
Wisconsin benefited from youth and experience in the 6–1 and 9–1 victories. Seniors Emily Clark and Annie Pankowski combined for five goals, including Clark’s second career hat trick that she earned Sunday afternoon. Freshmen forwards Britta Curl and Sophie Shirley had another great weekend, scoring a combined four goals over the two games.
