Madison — Wisconsin wide receiver JordanFredrick is considered a run-blocker first and a pass-catcher second.
The 6-foot-4, 208-pound Fredrick has developed into one of UW's better blockers on the perimeter and is able to overpower defenders or drop them with effective cut blocks.
During practice Tuesday, Fredrick flashed play-making ability rarely seen in his first three seasons.
Working in seven-on-seven drills, Fredrick had receptions of 38 and 55 yards, both on deep throws.
D.J. Gillinscompleted the 38-yarder to Fredrick, who went high between reserve safeties Leo Mussoand Arrington Farrarto make the catch.
