To cap off Year 1 of the Luke Fickell era, the Wisconsin Badgers are headed to Tampa, Florida for a New Year’s showdown against the LSU Tigers in the ReliaQuest Bowl, formerly known as the Outback Bowl.
The Badgers, 7-5, finished their season on a two-game win streak to improve their bowl odds and now face a 9-3 LSU team that will be without star quarterback Jayden Daniels, who opted out to pursue his 2024 NFL Draft aspirations.
However, apart from transfers, the Tigers will be with a majority of their team, while the Badgers saw running back Braelon Allen, center Tanor Bortolini, and cornerback Jason Maitre all opt out of the bowl game.
