After a pair of impressive wins this past weekend including a 3-0 victory against No. 3 Penn State, two Wisconsin Badgers were rewarded by the conference for their individual play.
Senior Sarah Franklin was named the co-Big Ten Player of the Week. The 6-foot-4 outside hitter averaged 4.67 kills per set and had zero errors in the matches against Iowa and Penn State.
Franklin hit .431 over the weekend and also pitched in with 2.50 digs per set and 0.33 blocks per set on the defensive side.
It’s Franklin’s second time being named Big Ten Player of the Week this year — her seventh career acknowledgment.
