Outside hitter Sarah Franklin has earned yet more accolades during her outstanding season.
Franklin was not only named Big Ten Player of the Week — the third time this season she’s earned that honor — but earned national plaudits, earning the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s (AVCA) Divisional Player of the Week.
Franklin is the eighth ever Wisconsin Badgers player to earn the national player of the week award — the last Badger to win was Dana Rettke back in Jan. 2021. The 6-foot-4 outside hitter had 30 kills in two matches to wrap up the season, including posting 16 kills and 10 digs in a crucial victory 3-0 against the No.
