The No. 8 Wisconsin Badgers (8-1 Big Ten, 15-4 overall) continue their winning streak, going into the No. 10 Purdue Boilermakers (7-3, 16-5) house and leaving with a statement 3-0 sweep (25-20, 25-23, 25-13) in a packed Mackey Arena.
The story on the day was Wisconsin’s block, which continues a string of impressive performances. The team out-blocked what is normally one of the league’s best blocking teams 15-7, and it made the Purdue offense look all out of sorts.
In the opening set, the Badgers were down 6-4 early, but a kill from junior middle blocker Carter Booth gave the ball to freshman setter Charlier Fuerbringer on the service line.
