The no. 7 Wisconsin Badgers (1-1 Big Ten, 7-4 overall) picked up their first conference win of the year, with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-15) sweep on the road against the Northwestern Wildcats (1-1, 3-7) Saturday night.
After looking patchy on offense at times in a five-set loss to Minnesota Wednesday, the Badgers bounced back to hit .413 on the night with freshman Charlier Fuerbringer tallying 27 assists.
Senior outside hitter Sarah Franklin led the team with 11 kills and was important for Wisconsin gaining a commanding lead in the first set.
