Madison— Derrick Tindal's maturation has been gradual and understated but nonetheless impressive.
"Derrick is someone you can depend on," Wisconsin defensive coordinator Dave Aranda said of the sophomore cornerback. "Derrick is someone that is trustworthy as a teammate.
"A year ago he was athletic. He was competitive. He was a ball hawk. And he still is all those things.
"But now he is someone who when the formation changes or they (overload) the boundary....you can count on him to get it."
Tindal should again play a key role in Aranda's defense when UW (7-2, 4-1 Big Ten) faces host Maryland (2-6, 0-4) at 2:30 p.
