The Wisconsin Badgers announced on Thursday that former Badger Jon Budmayr will officially take on duties as quarterbacks coach.
Budmayr, who played quarterback at UW, worked as a graduate assistant in 2015 before transitioning to an offensive quality-control assistant the past two seasons. He lettered during the 2010 season before injuries hampered the rest of his career but also served as a UW student assistant coach from 2012–13.
“Jon is a tremendous young coach,” head coach Paul Chryst said in a release from UW. “He excels as a teacher and has great knowledge of our offense and quarterback play.
