As expected based on this weekend’s reports, Sam and Joey Hauser will not transfer to Wisconsin but rather split in heading to different programs. On Tuesday, Sam announced he will play for Tony Bennett and defending national champion Virginia, while younger brother Joey declared he will play college basketball at Michigan State.
The brotherly duo initially announced their departure from Marquette on April 15 and visited Wisconsin at the end of last month.
A 6’8 junior guard/forward, Sam Hauser started all 33 games and scored 15.
