In a strange off-season that has a bevy of top players around the country entering the transfer portal, the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team has similarly had their fair share of portal action as well.
On Tuesday morning, sophomore big man Joe Hedstrom became the fourth player from last year’s roster to make the decision to look elsewhere for playing time next season.
Hedstrom came to Wisconsin as part of the 2018 recruiting class by way of Hopkins, Minnesota. At 7-feet tall, his other offers out of high school were from Boise State, Cleveland State, Columbia, Denver, Loyola-Marymount, North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota and Utah.
