On Thursday night, the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team has added a preferred walk-on to the 2020 class. Carter Gilmore (Hartland, Wis.) out of Arrowhead High School is a 6’7” and 200 lbs. wing that was also receiving interest from Minnesota, Marquette and Georgia Tech.
Gilmore has the potential to be an absolute steal for the Badgers. He held scholarship offers from DePaul, Milwaukee, Brown, Appalachian State, Southern Illinois and Indiana State but decided to stay in state and play for Wisconsin.
The lanky wing is not rated by either 247Sports or Rivals, but he clearly has some talent based on all of the interests listed above.
