Wisconsin football: UW now up to 22 COVID-19 cases per Barry Alvarez

On ESPN’s College GameDay Saturday morning, Wisconsin Badgers athletic director Barry Alvarez said that the football team is now up to 22 positive COVID-19 cases, 10 staff members and 12 players. That is six more cases since the last update, which came on Thursday. So far the only confirmed case for Wisconsin is head coach Paul Chryst

This past week Alvarez and chancellor Rebecca Blank, in concert with the Big Ten Conference, decided to cancel Saturday afternoon’s game against Nebraska in order to try and stop the spread of the virus among the team.
