The writing was on the wall for Gio Paez’s future with the Wisconsin Badgers football program when he posted a moneybag symbol and some highlights on social media a few weeks ago.

After five seasons with the Badgers, Paez has entered his name into the transfer portal for his final season of eligibility. Paez’s exit makes him the fifth player from Wisconsin’s defensive line room to leave this offseason.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds, Paez appeared in 13 games, starting six for the Wisconsin Badgers in 2023.
