The dream of Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football coaching staff installing a Nick Evers package on offense died earlier this spring when the high-upside quarterback chose to re-enter the transfer portal.
Regardless, it didn’t take long for the redshirt sophomore from Texas to find a new home in the transfer portal. Evers, who spent just over a year with the Badgers, announced on social media his decision to transfer to UConn, where he’ll have three more years of eligibility remaining.

Joining the Huskies, Evers reunites with former Wisconsin football wide receivers Skyler Bell, whom he played with last year, and Dean Engram.
