While its record might be untarnished, the perception in the public eye surrounding Wisconsin football might have taken a hit after a 45-14 victory over New Mexico Saturday.
Besides from failing to cover the spread (albeit a large one) in both games, the problems that plagued the Badgers in 2017 still seem to be in the picture. Jonathan Taylor continues to hurt his team and its maddening for many Wisconsin fans. This supremely talented team keeps struggling with turnovers, especially against inferior opponents. And while Taylor continues to put up Heisman-worthy stats, the big “2” in the fumbles-lost column has to be a concern for Chryst and crew.
