Put on hold due to COVID-19 pandemic, it appears that the Wisconsin athletic department is ready to restart the “comprehensive renovation of the south end zone of Camp Randall Stadium” according to a press release sent out by UW on Wednesday. Originally announced back in 2019, construction was supposed to start at the conclusion of the 2020 season but, again, COVID happened.
Camp Randall Stadium was originally built in 1917 and is the fifth oldest college football stadium in the country and while many updates have been made since then, the addition of more premium seating like this has apparently been a high demand item among Wisconsin season ticket holders per UW.
