No surprise here: Wisconsin’s running backs will be a huge factor in the success of offense in 2016.
Tandems of successful running backs have lifted Wisconsin Badgers offenses since the early 1990s. Brent Moss and Terrell Fletcher gave UW a potent duo on the way to the 1994 Rose Bowl championship. P.J. Hill, John Clay, James White, Montee Ball, Melvin Gordon and Corey Clement at one point formed impressive combinations with one another to give the backfield a two-headed monster — or a three-headed beast in Clay, White and Ball’s case during the 2010 season.
Last year was supposed to be Clement’s breakout (and presumably final) season at Wisconsin.
