Heading into a tough position battle this summer, former Wisconsin football standout Jared Abbrederis caught the eye of Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy during OTAs.
Abbrederis, who saw the field for the first time last season after missing all of his rookie season with an ACL tear, caught nine passes for 111 yards last season.
He added six more post-season catches, including four receptions for 55 yards in the Packers’ season-ending loss to Arizona in the playoffs, when an already short-handed wide receiver unit saw Randall Cobb carted off the field, forcing Abbrederis and Jeff Janis to step up.
