The Wisconsin Badgers suffered a huge blow early in the season-opening game against the Alabama Crimson Tide when safety Michael Caputo was declared out of the game with a head injury on the third play from scrimmage.
Diving low to tackle Alabama running back Derrick Henry, Caputo hit his head hard on the way down and was visibly dazed as he got up. He got up, walked over to the wrong side of the field and was just kind of hanging out in the Alabama offensive backfield. Clearly something was wrong, and medical staff took him off of the field and took his helmet away.
